BMRE July 2003 News and Results

 

(7-6-03) Slinger Speedway More Than Millwork Mid Season Championships,and after

waiting out several rain showers,Brad timed in 4th quick,took 4th in the fast dash,and in

the 65 lap main,the 89 missile experienced brake problems and Brad took 10th,yet still

retains the point lead over Lowell Bennett and David Prunty.

 

 

 

((7-12-03) Sheboygan Co Fairgrounds. Brad took the #92 Grasse ride out for a tune-up

for this wednesday's MSA-CCRA-EWSCA shootout,timed 19th,4th in the heat and 19th

in the main,Against Late Models with a GN Car...see you wednesday night!

 

 

(7-13-03) Slinger Speedway. Brad starts the second half of 2003 in style,timing in 2nd quick

@11.501,8th in the fast dash,and in the main moved up to a second place finish behind Eric

Fransen in the Coca Cola Triple Crown series 50 lapper.

One more sunday before the nationals July 22nd,Brad Leads the points!

 

 

 

(7-16-03)Sheboygan Co Fairgrounds. As Brad was asked about his return to the ole' raceway,

all he said was "i had a BLAST"!! Brad took the 92 machine to the front,spun,charged again,got

tagged and rebounded to an 11th place finish.Too much RF spring and swaybar...but a good time!

 

 

(7-20-03) Slinger Speedway. Point leader Brad and the BMRE team,who recently hired a fitness

guru to help them keep going in the hot summer sun,had another solid night at the racetrack.

2nd in time(11.424) 5th in the fast dash,and in the 60 lap main,were in a fierce 5 car battle and

came out with a 3rd place finish,a race car in 1 piece and a 646-525 point lead over Al Schill!

 

 

(7-22-03) The Slinger Nationals. 225 laps,62 cars time in,the stands are packed.

Brad times 2nd quick with an 11.390,and in the 225 lap main...steadily moves to the front.

While battling Matt Kenseth and Mike Garvey,Matt's car had a Power Steering hose blow,

and Brad got caught in the melee.

At the halfway point,while fueling and getting right side tires,a bent strut(control arm) was

found,and, with under 7 minutes to change it,the team did it with a minute to spare and Brad

rejoined the field 10th and managed a 9th place finish.

 

 

 

(7-27-03) Slinger Speedway. Point Leader Brad Mueller and the BMRE Gang head off to

the Speedway for Lighthouse Lanes Night and Brad stumbles a bit in timing(15th),starts near the

tail of the 20 car field,but shows why he is leading the standings as he charges to a 5th in

the 60 lap main. Brad leads David Prunty 692-597 in Points.
