BMRE News and Results
2008
(12-8-08) Random Lake, WI. Brad Mueller and his BMRE empire will be hosting a racers swap meet January 17th and 18th
with alot of Dirt and Tar parts plus the remaining inventory of Kevin Laatsch former owner of Pathfinder Chassis,
the SLM team of Todd Zick and more. Watch BMRE89.com for updates...happy holidays
(11-20-08) Lena, WI. BMRE CEO CFO Driver Owner Team Bartender Brad Mueller went turkey hunting last week,
but froze on the trigger, opting to purchase his bird for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. He did have enough
time to snap a picture of the birds, we feel he forgot to load his gun. Happy Holidays everyone !
(10-10-08) Ramsay, MI. As the season has ended, we are thankful for the warm weather as we are trying new set-up's
for Slinger Speedway almost daily. We have several great team members who shall remain nameless who are quite handy
in the construction field and we cloned Slinger behind Mueller's Sales and Service.
Some set-up's we have tried with no success:
Pair of 125's on front with 3" Swaybar (Rubbed Nose Off)
750 RF 600 LF with 1/2" Bar (Head On Into Wall)
325-300 with 300# Gas Charge in shocks (Yup, Shocks Exploded)
Thanks for visiting, happy off season.
(9-28-08) Rockford Speedway. The National Short Track Championships, which have been going on longer that Brad
has been alive are held every September, are always exciting pitting racers against racers they rarely compete against.
Now, i could copy and paste the story from the track, but we do things different at BMRE89.com.
The weekend started out 2nd quick, and team leader Brad Mueller announced "top 3 and it's a 7 course meal at Sizzler".
As the race, all 200 laps of it, wore on...the 89 car looked ok, a bit tight off the corner...but just enough to remain strong.
As most of you know, the team also ran their dirt car Saturday and JJ spent a fortune on Jet Fuel, so he decided to let
the 8 car pass him late to take 4th and cheeseburgers were the dinner of choice.
Thanks to everyone for your support in 2008...we'll see what 2009 holds!

(8-31-08) Slinger Super Speedway. Bob Fish Memorial Night, a 100 lap event in memory of Brad's former employer,
friend and sponsor. In the dash, the 89 car found the winner's circle.
The team set the car up for a long race, and in the early stages Colin Bamke passed the 89 car for the lead.
After a few yellows, the set-up started to come in and Bradley sailed to his second win at Slinger in 2008.
As far as the chicken wings, they were delicious!!

battle with his bro in law and Russ Sheffler, and with 2 laps to go running 2nd, the LR axle snapped.:(
(8-11-08) Random Lake, WI. After a weekend with a great result at Plymouth and alot of time "Bonding",
we will be racing our tails off this week as we hit Wilmot Thursday for a WDLMA race at the fairgrounds.
We then hit Plymouth Saturday and Slinger Sunday. Check out the newly skinned dirt car pic's on '08 pic's page.
Note's from a conversation Sunday, August 10th, 2008.
Ross: we shoulda raced today. Lehmo: yup. Brad: but you wanted to bond Rosco. Ross: well, i thought it would be fun.
Lehmo: this feels like winter. Brad; Well lets hit her hard this week. Rosco: i just switched to boxer briefs and they feel
funny. Lehmo;wear them on your head first. Webmaster: photo's to follow??

(8-6-08) Random Lake, WI. Rosco calls family weekend, so Plymouth Dirt Track Saturday and bonding the rest for BMRE.
(8-3-08) Slinger Speedway. The 0 for 08 tour stopped as BMRE wins !!!!
Slinger, Wis., Aug. 3-While Brad Mueller only led one lap of the Russ Darrow Toyota 60 Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway, it was the one that counted as his last lap pass of Mike Strupp netted him his first late model feature victory of the season in a highly competitive and thrilling main event.
“This just goes to show that you stick in there until the end because the best race car doesn’t always win,” an excited Mueller told the crowd afterwards. “We drove the death out of this thing tonight and there is no better feeling than winning at Slinger Speedway, it’s just absolutely awesome.”
Mike Egan and Nick Schumacher raced in tandem for the lead over the opening laps with Dennis Prunty and David Prunty lined up side by side behind them. With Egan and Schumacher swapping the lead, the field was slowed under the caution flag for the first time on lap ten when Dan Jung spun in turn four. Egan maintained the point on the restart but Schumacher became caught on the top side and Dennis Prunty, David Prunty, and Mike Strupp all were able to get by. Dennis Prunty took his shot at the point by jumping to the outside to challenge Egan just before the caution flag waved again on lap 17 when Race McComb spun and smacked the turn one wall. On the restart, Egan and Dennis Prunty once again renewed their side by side battle for the lead with Egan hugging the inside and Prunty riding the top. Dennis Prunty was able to clear Egan for the lead on lap 24 and Mike Strupp and David Prunty also used the outside groove to pass Egan for second and third respectively. Fred Winn and Jung tangled in turn three on lap 28 and the field was slowed under yellow again with Dennis Prunty leading over Strupp, David Prunty, Egan, and Lowell Bennett. As racing resumed, Dennis Prunty and Strupp went wheel to wheel for the lead while Bennett and David Prunty were side by side for third. Strupp kept his run going on the outside and cleared Prunty for the lead on lap 30 as Bennett and David Prunty continued their battle for third. Five laps later, the hard racing between Bennett and David Prunty came to a head when Bennett slid through turn three and made slight contact with Prunty, sending his car around to bring out the caution flag and placing both at the rear of the field.
Strupp led on the restart over Dennis Prunty and Dale Prunty while Brad Mueller advanced to fourth place, just ahead of Egan in fifth. Strupp and Dennis Prunty renewed their battle for the lead as racing resumed while Mueller went to work on Dale Prunty for third. Mike Meyerhofer had something break on his car and he slid to the fence on lap 43 to produce another caution and as the field went back to green, Strupp and Dennis Prunty turned up the wick on their battle for the lead. Both drivers raced door to door, determined to take the top spot as Mueller made his way around Dale Prunty to take over third. On lap 51, Dennis Prunty made an inside charge for the lead exiting turn two, but lost the handle and spun down the backstretch, the tail end of his car rising in the air as he bounced through the infield grass. The caution flag waved two laps later as the safety crew was summoned to check on Prunty with Strupp now leading over Mueller, Dale Prunty, Nick Schumacher, and Egan. Strupp was able to shut the door on Mueller’s bid for the lead from the outside on the restart and kept the lead as the laps wound down. As the leaders came to the white flag, Strupp’s car pushed high exiting turn four, opening the door for Mueller to stick the nose of his car to the inside as they charged down the front stretch. Mueller was able to make the pass and hang onto the lead over the final lap, taking the checkered flag for the win with Strupp on his rear bumper in second. Dale Prunty finished third while Mike Egan and Lowell Bennett completed the top five. Nick Schumacher finished sixth ahead of Jamie Wallace and David Prunty. Fred Winn and Brad Dahmer were ninth and tenth respectively. Mueller also set fast time 11.396

(7-18-08) EWSC action at Manitowoc County Fairgrounds. BMRE hauled off to Manty for the EWSC show
taking second in the heat race and second in the feature, getting passed for the lead with 5 to go.
(7-17-08) Random Lake, WI. Look for BMRE at Manitowoc Friday and Plymouth Saturday with the
Pontiac Late Model, and stop and say hi after the races!
(7-15-08) Slinger National's. BMRE hauled off to Slinger for the Nationals...NASCAR stars, short track aces and even
a few weapons. After timing, the 89 team ended up 3rd in time and got to carry the colors around the 1/4 mile oval.
In the 200 lap race with a lap 100 break, the Pro Power Powered Pontiac was looking good, even after getting booted
by a few of the front runners, the driver showed determination, dropped the hammer and got back in the mix for 1st.
After the halfway break, the team made adjustment's, took on 2 new Hoosier's and showed the changes helped as
Brad went upstairs (not on the apron like many) and powered to 3rd, but he got booted then sideswiped by a
exhaust pipe hanging out of a door and cut down a tire, ending his night early.

(7-6-08) Slinger Speedway
Mike Meyerhofer and Wallace led the field to the green flag and Wallace quickly moved out front from the outside lane on lap three while Bamke slid into the third slot just ahead of Tommy Hromadka and Nick Schumacher. By lap 13, Bamke worked his way around Meyerhofer for second while Schumacher advanced to fourth as Dennis Prunty entered the top five. By lap 30, Wallace and Bamke began to pull away from the field as Schumacher and Prunty raced into third and fourth place respectively while Al Schill and David Prunty marched into fifth and sixth. Three laps later, Dennis Prunty was able to edge to the inside of Schumacher to take the third spot, bringing Schill with him into fourth as Schumacher fell into a battle with David Prunty for fifth. The leaders began to weave their way through lapped traffic by lap 37 as David Prunty battled his way into fourth place, behind Wallace, Bamke, and Dennis Prunty. Bamke kept Wallace in his sights all the while the leaders were in the traffic and on lap 41 he made his move, using the inside lane to charge into the lead. Once out front, Bamke started to move away from Wallace as the Prunty brothers began to dispute the third position with Schill close behind. David Prunty took the third slot on lap 46 as Schill challenged Dennis Prunty over fourth. Schill used the outside groove to get around Dennis Prunty in a hard fought effort for the spot while Bamke continued to show the way out front. Bamke was never headed over the final laps and he charged under the checkered flag for his first feature victory of the season while Wallace wrapped up a strong run in second place. David Prunty finished third while Schill and Dennis Prunty rounded out the top five. Brad Mueller held off Dale Prunty at the finish for the sixth spot as Schumacher, Meyerhofer, and Lowell Bennett completed the top ten.
Dan Jung took top honors in the 30-lap late model semi-feature to transfer into the main event along with second place finisher Randy Schuler. Mike Egan finished third with Scott Schoeni fourth and Race McComb fifth. Dennis Prunty won the late model fast dash while Brad Mueller was the fastest qualifier at 11.496 seconds. Mueller looked like the proud papa that he is carrying the American Flag, but knew the tight off condition was still puzzling the BMRE89 crew.
"Did you see those wheelies at Plymouth" Mueller quipped as he was asked about the push that will eventually go away.
(7-5-08) Plymouth Dirt Track . Team BMRE took the Pontiac skinned Ford Powered machine to the Sheboygan
County Fairgrounds and had a decent run taking 3rd in the heat (From dead Last) and got forced back in the
main event and rebounded to a 7th place finish on the slick 1/3rd mile oval.

(5-18-08) Slinger Speedway. Brad and the BMRE gang got out their Carnage Cruise attire and headed off to
Slinger for the Alan Kulwicki Memorial and tightened the car up too much which resulted in an 8th place finish.
"Its a new car, we'll get her dialed in" quipped Ross Rate, team member, "Give us a week or 2, she'll fly".
(5-17-08) After a week of collecting aluminum cans (.85 a pound, gotta pay the tire bill) we were off to
Plymouth Dirt Track, but ma nature had a different idea and it was rained out, so we had a late choir practice.
See you at Slinger.
(5-11-08) Random Lake, WI via smoke signals. Slinger Speedway's Mother's Day Special is off tonight,
Happy Mother's Day Mom's, see you next week!
(5-10-08) Plymouth Dirt Track. The maiden voyage of the BMRE 89 Dirt Late Model went ok, with a 5th in the
heat and a 7th in the feature. Brad was amazed at the Ford Pro Power engine and the thrill of being back on clay.

(4-26-08) From Todd Thelen's Desk
Saturday and Sunday activities canceled
This weekends activities at Slinger Speedway have been canceled. The heavy rain has created a severe weeping situation that will make practice very difficult today at best and the weather for Sunday is not favorable enough to dry the grounds.
By calling this weekends activities early today we can save our fans and race teams the travel expense and allow them to plan for next weekend.
The annual practice day will be Saturday May 3rd from Noon to 4:00 pm and the Emily’s Wine and Dine race will be as scheduled Sunday afternoon May 4th with pit gates opening at 8:00 am, practice at 11:00 am, and racing at 2:00 pm.
(4-18-08) Random Lake, WI. Busy times at the world headquarters of BMRE, as the team is thrashing on the NEW
Blue 89 Super Late and the Used but barely bruised Dirt Late Model. The 89 car will be hauled across the road to the
BMRE test track probably Saturday, then to Slinger for the season opener and practice. Here's a few pics, see you at
Slinger Super Speedway April 27th.
ASA Late Model also pictured....shhhhhhh
(4-1-08) Random Lake, WI. April 1st is well known as a day of pranks, but to racers its a day to bow our heads
and remember Alan Kulwicki. Alan is and was an inspiration to many, doing more with less than most NASCAR racers,
only to die too young and too soon after becoming Winston Cup Champ. RIP Alan. 15 years, seems like yesterday.
(3-16-08) Random Lake, WI. Thank you to everyone that made the first BMRE89 brat fry a huge success. To all the
businesses that donated prizes and to the Random Rod and Gun club, thank you from Brad and the team.
(3-8-08) Random Lake, WI. BMRE says thanks to all who stopped in and said hi at the Motorsports show at State Fair
park Saturday, we had alot of fun.
News from the show, Miles "The Mouse" Melius challenged Brad to a grudge race this upcoming summer while both were
on the roundtable discussion (Webmaster's Note, it was rectangular), cars and track to be decided at a later date.
Also welcome back Rosco after a relaxing Honeymoon, see you all at the Rod and Gun Club next Saturday.
(2-18-08) Random Lake, WI. BMRE will be holding a brat fry at the Random Lake Rod and Gun Club on March 15th
from 10 am til the beer is gone. The club is south of Mueller's Sales and Service on Jay Road.
(2-13-08) Random Lake, WI. BMRE has been busy building their very own shaker rig. A shaker rig will help BMRE set their cars
up to take on short tracks in the midwest. The 9 post rig is the first of its kind in Sheboygan County, and it's location is CLASSIFIED!
*Fact or Fiction?*
(1-13-08) Random Lake, WI. Brad and the gang are waiting for the NEW Grand Prix as it gets new body and
interior. We will update as soon as possible our season plans, but it will be dirt and tar.
(1-3-08) Welcome to 2008.... hope the beverage fatigue was minimal and it brings great success.
Here are 2 renderings of race cars, just out of sheer boredom..peace!
